Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding these cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
